
ARTIST STATEMENT
Talora Welsh wants to connect people with her work and draws upon her personal experiences to do so. Specialising in copper smithing and other metal techniques, Talora creates pieces that are designed to create an emotive response in her audience.
Talora Welsh is currently studying towards her Ba in Design Crafts at De Montfort University, Leicester. Her final year project is a collection of vessels that represent her journey with mental health in the hopes of promoting therapy and talking about mental health.

BA DESIGN CRAFTS- DE MONTFORT UNIVERSITY
BA in Design Crafts specializing in Metal Work and Jewelry. Through the program Talora has created an indept knowledge in the design and making field skills in areas such as: enamel, Metal and jewelry techniques, kiln operations and then basic knowledge in textiles, glass and ceramics work.

Completed undergraduate modules in Letterpress, embroidery, and Spanish. All classes were taught in Spanish.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
June 2019 - August 2022
HEAD OF CRAFTS, CAMP PONACKA
Taking place in Ontario, Canada, this role requires the designinf five, one-hour periods of crafts learning a day for the summer. Talora would then teach these lessons to groups of four to eight, eight- to sixteen-year-olds. Between teaching, other jobs included designing and paint sets for the end of summer production,
painging sighns and stock taking/office tasks. Talora also had the oppertunity of running two kilns and keeping equipment up to code.
